We are pleased to offer two different options for training this Fall:
• Training for Clinical staff (12 hours with continuing education)
• Training for Community Support staff (6 hours)
This four-part training is provided in 3-hour virtual sessions across four days (12 hours total). Parts 1 and 2 focus on assessment and treatment of tobacco use while Parts 3 and 4 provide information and practice around using Motivational Interviewing to treat tobacco use. Continuing education credits (10.5 hours allowing for breaks) are provided at no cost to participants. Please note that attendance is required across all four parts in order to receive continuing education credit.

Part 1 focuses on impact, prevalence, and health risks, of tobacco use, as well as mental health comorbidities and best practices. Part 2 focuses on basic Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills. There are no continuing education credits for the community support staff training.
